Mazda CX-5
vs. Toyota RAV4 vs. Honda CRV

The attention to detail the Mazda-CX-5 brings this year can’t be compared to any other crossover SUV. Although there may be other crossovers that could meet your needs, this vehicle offers incredible standard features, elegant touches to the interior, and innovative technology.

@data.dealername believes the Mazda CX-5 made impressive improvements from its comfortable two-row seating arrangement to the standard features and strong performance. Compared to the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CRV, the Mazda CX-5 still is the best in its class.

Features: The Mazda CX-5 now offers standard safety features to their trims such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and more. What stands out to us is the 7.0-inch infotainment screen and the leather-wrapped steering wheel, which is an option on the base trim.

The Toyota RAV4 does not have a leather steering wheel and the infotainment screen sits at 6.1-inches. The Honda CR-V offers a little more in their infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android auto. However, that’s at an additional cost.

Interior: If you want to drive around with a luxurious feel, the Mazda CX-5 will give you just that. The quality is attractive and comfortably fits five passengers. In the RAV4, for the most part, you will find basic plastic throughout the interior. As for the Honda CR-V, space is comparable to the Mazda CX-5, which is great for a family, but the material still falls behind. You’ll get higher quality in the Mazda CX-5 than the other two vehicles when it comes to a crossover SUV.

But in the Mazda CX-5, driving is fun and smooth with minimal road noise and easy handling and great safety features that we think outdo the competition.

Performance: The Mazda CX-5 receives 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The RAV4 gets 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, while the CRV gets about 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Across the board, the spend on gas will be close.
